Planning for Black Friday/Cyber Monday Shopping?

For years,  I have kept an eye out for Black Friday/Cyber Monday sales that are more steals vs deals, for quilting, sewing & embroidery enthusiasts and shared my findings with you. My radar is on, but I’m not finding as many steals or deals this you.  Have you spotted any?  Are you shopping for any particular item?    Please leave a comment for what you are looking for, as well as if you know of a Black Friday/Cyber Monday sale you want to recommend to others to check out.

Today, I want to share a few early insights about steals and deals that I’ve come across so far (note, I will be updating this post as I find more deals, so be sure to bookmark this post and check back).

BluPrint (previously Craftsy) has  Black Friday Savings 50% Off All Classes (you own forever) and $39.99 for one-year memberships (You get to watch ALL BluePrint Classes during your subscription) ! The Biggest Sale of the Year!

And, up to 70% off on notions!

NOTE FOR ALL SUBSCRIBERS:  Default subscriptions set themselves for auto-payment on date of renewal.  If you do not wish to auto renew, be sure to turn off that feature after purchase or consider marking your calendar for the tbd date in advance to decide if you wish to renew or not.   But their $39.99 subscription for a year, allowing you to view ALL classes, is a super deal!

Fabrics N Quilt

They have an amazing deal on fabrics in their Black Friday Sale/Cyber Monday Sale.  I’ll confess, QuiltShopGal just ordered 12 years for backing & blenders at a super steal price.

Sadly, Fabrics N Quilts will be closing their doors (by Christmas?). QuiltShopGal has been a fan of Fabrics N Quilts for years and will miss them dearly.  Be sure to check around their online store, as well as bookmark and come back as they are adding more items for sale.  One of my FAVS is for Hoffman 1895 Batiks.

I’ve also found a few household items with amazing Black Friday Sale prices, but as they are non-quilting I’m not sure you want to hear about them.  For those that might be interested, check out:

  • Consider picking up an Instant Pot 6 qt for  $49 at WalMart, for a gift and/or for you.  This deal is supposed to be available via WalMart online and in-store.  It is certainly a better deal than what I’ve seen on Amazon, or via other stores (and better than what I paid for my Instant Pot 3 qt in Black Friday 2018).

But don’t overlook the opportunity for keeping an eye out on Amazon’s Black Friday/Cyber Monday deals all week long, as they change daily.

By the Yard has a sale on their fun 2020 12 month calendar for only $10 each.  Definitely a great price to buy one for yourself, as well as for gifts.

Patsy Thompson announced that her very reasonable priced Ruler Work class at Missouri Star is 50% off.  And, all of Missouri Star online classes in their education academy is 50% off from 11/26 to 12/1/19.  This is a steal!

Electric Quilt Company has 25% off EVERYTHING Use code: 25SITEWIDE

Silhouette of America has some great bundles on sale for Black Friday, plus 50% off EVERYTHING.  This is definitely QuiltShopGal’s favorite time of the year to buy Silhouette products.  Visit Terry Johnson Creates’ blog for more info and to enter a giveaway where you could win a Silhouette 4.  Use Code TERRI at checkout.

Sew Kind of Wonderful is celebrating Cyber Monday with a 30% off everything sale – Monday only.

The Fat Quarter Shop is also having a Black Friday/Cyber Monday Sale, but it is too early for me to share their info.  Come back on Thanksgiving afternoon to learn about their Black Friday Sale.

  1. A note of warning about Bluprint. They automatically renewed my membership in Oct for $110.00. There was no alert or warning. Just a charge to my credit card. Also there have been very few new classes for quilting. So if you are going to sign, create a warning for yourself to cancel before it renews automatically unless you really want it.
