Have you ever made a rug on a loom? I have fond memories of making such rugs, as a child. But I was totally inspired with #CreativeGoodness when I saw a picture of a beautiful rug made by Victoria Findlay Wolfe on Instagram:
There are quite a few video tutorials for loom weaving rugs/twining, that show a variety of techniques and looms. Here is a 3 part video tutorial on Twining Rug tips by Phoebe Snow Cronan:
Do you have a loom? If so, what do you make with it ?
I also want to share that QuiltShopGal is hosting a Virtual Fall Craft Show the week of November 11th. It is free for crafters to have a booth to sell their handmade goods and a great time for buyers to come shop. While I hope to have some vendors who are also weavers, all sorts of crafters are welcome to participate. Just email me or leave a comment if you would like more information. There will also be sponsors who will be donating wonderful prizes that will be given away daily during this event.
While anything handmade, just like what you might see at a local craft fair, is perfect for this virtual Craft Fair, here are some ideas for items you might find for sale:
- quilts, tablerunners, wallhangings, placemats etc.
- handmade purses, totes
- zipper bags
- machine embroidered projects
- home decor
- scented candles & soaps
- dish towels, hotpads, etc.
- metal art
- wooden art
- knitted scarves, hats, socks, etc.
