Perfectly Pretty Patchwork (and insights to Giveaways and More)

I always enjoy the arrival of Fall, as I love the cooler weather, the colors, and flavors of the season.  But I also think of it as a “Back to School” time where I enjoy finding out about new books, packed with CreativeGoodness, offering endless opportunities to learn and improve our creative skills.  While I have plans to highlight a number of new books with you this month, this week I’m going to showcase several new books, recently published by Martingale, as well as heighten awareness of how you can win a copy!

ABOUT THE AUTHOR: Kristyne Czepuryk

When Kristyne Czepuryk of Calgary, Alberta, Canada, was introduced to quilting, she knew she’d found her passion. Since then, she’s started a pattern company, Pretty by Hand, designed fabric lines for Moda Fabrics, and taught sewing and quiltmaking classes.

Her formal education gave her the skills to become a technical writer, which is her full-time career. Most recently, she spent four years taking night classes to earn a graphic design certificate, which she put to good use fulfilling her dream of becoming a fabric designer.

What’s next? Who knows! Only one thing is certain . . . she’ll be making.

It was honestly easy to fall in love with the projects in this book.   They are perfect for decorating your home, for functionality, for gifts.  They range in size from pincushions, purses, pouch, tote bags, to pillows and quilts.

And each project includes easy to follow instructions with great visuals, a trademark of books published by Martingale.

This is an excellent book for quilters of all levels, from beginners to experienced quilters and sewing enthusiasts.  I also see this book as an excellent resource for Quilt Guilds who might be looking for fun and fast monthly challenges, where they encourage members to purchase this book and make a project (e.g. pincushion, pillow, pouch, etc.).  Projects are perfect for sweet romantic fabrics showcased in this book, as well as for stash buster projects.

I hope you get a chance to check out this new book at your local quilt shop.  But as it is so new, if you don’t see it, I hope you will let them know about it and encourage them to make it available.  Of course, you can also check it out on Amazon, as well as Martingale’s online store.
