While I’m late at recognizing the Arrival of Summer, I hope you’ll forgive me and be just as happy about joining in our celebration to welcome Summer today, as well as the 4th of July! I hope summer brings you plenty of smiles, some nice sunshine, and breezes, as well as plenty of time to enjoy and create!
And, with a warm welcome to summer, I think it is time to recognize our Summer Sponsor:
The Electric Quilt Company is a company founded by quilters, who employees quilters and all their products are designed to help quilters create. I can honestly say they’ve significantly improved my creativity, as well as made our world of quilting so much more fun. While they are most known for their software products, they also have the absolutely best printable fabrics on the market! In addition, they offer super fun EQ Add-on, STASH (wonderful digital fabric collections), the EQ Boutique, as well as EQ Classes.
I love all of the EQ software programs and have been using EQ design software for years. And, while I truly loved EQ7 I’ve fallen in love again with EQ8 software and highly recommend it to EQ newbies, as well as those considering upgrading. I also recommend trying my approach to learning EQ software with “15 minutes a day of playtime” as in no time at all you’ll be amazed how much you will have learned and how much fun you will have learning. It is great for designing, as well as auditioning your fabrics, but it is such a versatile software program you’ll find you can do far more than designing quilts with it. I’ve used it for planning landscape projects, furniture/room layouts, making greeting cards and more! Possibilities are endless.
I’ve also shared many tutorials for EQ software on this blog and plan to be releasing another series of “15 minutes a day of playtime” for EQ8 software this Fall. As such, if there is anything, in particular, you are wanting to learn how to do in EQ8 software send me an email or leave a comment on this post. I’ll try to incorporate your interest in learning in a future tutorial, or point you to one that may already exist on my blog, a fellow blogger’s site, or on the EQ website or blog. To clarify, there are plenty of great tutorials on the internet to help you learn EQ software. I highly encourage you taking advantage of them, as well as using EQ learning books, and even taking an EQ class at a quilt show, online, or special classes that EQ hosts throughout the year. They are truly all great ways to learn about this robust software and have fun learning and creating.
Electric Quilt Company has also created a special discount for my followers to use when shopping their site. It will take 20% off any order at ElectricQuilt.com starting July 4th. We went ahead and made it so the code lasts all month so it will expire July 31. Use promo code: QUILTSHOPGAL
DID I MENTION A GIVEAWAY?
