June Sponsor – Aurifil

Let’s Welcome the arrival of June.  For many, this is a busy month for graduations, weddings, gardening, family BBQs and more.  Of course, for quilting, sewing and embroidery enthusiasts it is also a great time to be creative (not that we would turn our nose at any time we could be creative).  I think of it as a perfect time to check out new products and start new projects.  Thus, I hope you can see why I’m absolutely delighted that Aurifil is our Sponsor for June, who is sponsoring a Giveaway for QuiltShopGal followers anywhere in the world!

And, today, I get to share insights with you about new products that Aurifil introduced at Quilt Market, as part of their 2019 introductions.  They are all absolutely beautiful thread collections which I know I’d love to create with.  Which of these new Aurifil thread collections want to live in your sewing room?

They are so new, shops may simply not be aware of them and honestly appreciates hearing that their customers would like to see them make them available.

  1. Love them all, of course! Probably use some of the more lighter colours most and quite like the Paradigm collection for its fresh new colours and variegated thread.

  2. I need/want them all, but if I had to choose it would be between Tula Pink’s Surprise and Sashiko by the Shibaguyz. I’ve been trying Sashiko, and I only have one spool of Aurifil 12 at. Thank you!!!

  3. Such wonderful new collections. I love Christmas Everlasting by Marie Bostwick and Deb Tucker; probably because I am doing one of Marie’s quilt patterns next in Christmas fabrics to gift to a favorite daughter in law. The problem is deciding which of her patterns and then making sure I have the right Aurifil threads for piecing and then quilting on my domestic machine!

  5. Aurifil is always great. I love that Tula picked special packaging, and the colors are great, but I also love the Foundations for Island Batik. I just got a long arm machine, and I’m using 50wt on it, and loving it. I need some 40-3, too. I had a sample in white and love it, but need lots more colors. Thanks for the info about the new collecions.
