Welcome to another Free Pattern Friday, where I am showcasing some of my favorite free patterns (or tutorials) this summer. This is that time of summer where many of us are thinking about getting the kids ready to go back to school. I also like to think of this time to plan out what classes I want to take (e.g. quilting, sewing, embroidery) and how I want to organize my note taking and more. As such, I want to share on eof my favorite tutorials for book covers with you today.
Victoria Findlay Wolfe has a great tutorial on her blog to make a simple and clean book cover, which is also cute and durable. I think this would be an excellent project for newbies to sewing & crafting, plus a fun project for those with experience that want to use up some fabric in their stash (or buy super cute new fabric for such projects).
To clarify, her tutorial is great for book covers, including notebook covers. I love it and hope you do too!
While you are checking out this tutorial on Victoria’s blog, be sure to check out her blog in general. She shares plenty of helpful tutorials, as well as inspirational projects, insights about her new designs as she releases them, and fun quilting events she attends and even teaches at. She is extremely creative, but truly a super nice person with an amazing big heart!
