There were not only many amazing quilts on display at the 2016 Road to California Quilt Show, but there were also many special exhibits of quilts and other items. And they were all packed with #CreativeGoodness. Today, I want to share insights on a few of these special exhibits.
There were 8 special exhibits that were wonderful and today I want to share some highlights. First, I’m always on the lookout for humorous and whimsical quilts:
{above} Dee Dee Menge created “Edward The Elephant LuLu’, using the “Lulu” pattern designed by Laura Heine.
{above} Patty Mathieson made this beautiful quilt she calls “Frieda Frieda” using the “Frieda” pattern designed by Laura Heine.
{above} “Horse and Rider Confetti” made by Dee Dee Menge, used a pattern designed by Laura Heinie called Confetti.

Road to California and ByAnnie’s Soft and Stable hosted an interesting Bag Challenge this year. All of the entries were on exhibit:
